Crown have successfully completed the extensive CAT A refurbishment of this distribution warehouse in Worton Grange in Reading. Working alongside Savills Building and Project Consultancy team led by Mark Townson from their Oxford office, Crown have delivered 24,000 sq ft of warehouse and 5000 sq ft of office space including a complete new insulated roof, re-cladding and remodelling of the internal layouts. The level of building fabric uplift, quality of internal office improvements and resulting improved EPC rating led to a pre-let by a large distribution and logistics operator. The energy rating of the former DHL parcel centre has been raised from a low ‘E’ to a high ‘B’ by way of an new insulated external envelope, LED lighting and a new heat pump air conditioning system.

Crown Interiors demonstrated their project management skills by performing the design and build Principal Designer and Principal Contractor role with works extending to upgraded incoming electrical supplies and landscaping works.
