Initially secured in a competitive 2-stage design and build bid process, Crown Interiors have delivered a stunning Cat B fit out for Dubber, the world’s leading cloud based call recording and voice AI company. Responding to the brief for a highly stylised flexible workplace environment that stimulates creativity whilst allowing focused working activities, our design team have created a best-in-class workplace.
A welcoming front-of-house “third space” has been carefully designed to provide the beating heart of the space and supports the culture of togetherness and collaboration. The café style environment allows for town hall meetings and activity based gatherings for the whole company. Equally important are the various booths and private niches where individuals can work on focused tasks or small groups can gather to share ideas and meet either formally or in a more relaxed setting.
Biophilia has been used throughout the space, which when blended with the careful selection of natural materials and a softer colour palette creates a sense of wellbeing and harmony.
Crown co-ordinated the various technology specialists such as high-end AV, security and networking so that the spaces can flex and support hybrid working as well as social functions.

“We aimed to create a fantastic new office space that would be a central Hub for our Oxford team. We selected Crown to deliver this for us, as it was clear right from the start of the process that they fully understood our brief and shared our vision. An aspect that was critical to the success of the project was Crown’s ability to quickly provide creative solutions to overcome both design and budget challenges. They understood these challenges and were supportive and flexible, making design changes quickly, whilst always ensuring the overall design quality was not impacted. In many areas, the solutions they provided to overcome these challenges has left us with a better space than we had originally envisioned.
The whole Crown team were friendly, approachable and we really enjoyed working with them. Communication with Crown was excellent throughout the whole project – They were always very responsive and happy to provide us with the time we needed to get thing right. At all stages of the process they listened and acted on our feedback. They were clearly passionate about making sure they delivered a great design and gave us what we wanted. The budget was very well managed by Crown. Costs were transparent, documented and reasonable. Crown’s flexible approach and creative response to budget challenges mean that we were able to deliver the project on budget.
Overall, we are left with a fantastic space that has been widely praised by both employees and visitors alike for both its look, feel and overall atmosphere. Our staff are really enjoying using the space and being able to move between the different areas – depending on their needs at the time, is a testament to Crown really getting under the skin of our brief and vision.
