Crown are delighted to have achieved successful completion of our CAT A and CAT B fit-out for logistics experts Simon Hegele in their spectacular new state-of-the-art storage and distribution facility at Didcot Quarter, Oxfordshire.
Crown’s success on this competitive tender, managed by Savills, was due to their ability to demonstrate their approach to design, value engineering solutions and overall understanding of client needs and the building specific requirements.
This superb Oxfordshire site falls within a key Enterprise Zone adjacent to Milton Park, with easy access to the A34. Didcot Quarter has been designed to promote workforce health and well-being with 5 acres of naturally landscaped space. Features include a boardwalk and grass amphitheatre with a waterside setting, providing the perfect area for employees to relax and unwind.
Crown Interiors demonstrated their project management skills by performing the design and build Principal Contractor role and also the management of client directly appointed contractors on their specialist areas within the main warehouse space.
Within the overall 120,000 sq ft footprint, Crown’s main area of works focused on the CAT B tenant fit-out of the 9,000 sq ft first floor office suite and the Cat A/B fit-out of the 5,000 sq ft Ground Floor undercroft incorporating new washrooms, staff break-out facilities supporting the warehouse space.
